lake three chimbadas
Visit to 3 Chimbadas Lake. 1 hour and Thirty minutes by boat and a forty-five minutes walk take us to the shores of tres chimbadas lake. from here, a bote and a native rower will take us for a silent tour of the lake, to appreciate the lake fauna in its peak of activity in the Peruvian jungle. we will look for alligators, riparian birds, the peculiar shanshos, and with luck we will be able to abserve the family of river wolves(seen by 60% of our visitors), known as the largest freshwater otters in the world. its busiest point goes from dawn until about 8 or 9 AM
Macaw clay lick
One of the most impressive spectacles of the Amazon, is a place known as the macaw clay lick. It is here where hundreds of parrots and macaws of at least 10 different species congregate every day to feed themselves, creating a spectacle of color and sound like no other in the natural world. Biologists have discovered that some species of macaws cover distances of up to a hundred kilometers to feed on the mineral deposits that neutralize the toxins in the fruits and nuts that form the basis of their diet.

Forest trails
The fauna that is seen more frequently in the forest trails of the Tambopata National Reserve near the Ecolodge includes the pichico monkey, the brown capuchin monkey, agouti, blue morpho butterfly, trogon, toucan and many other bird species.
Nightlife
From the Ecolodge, at night we will explore our system of forest trails and sail the Tambopata River in search of alligators and other nocturnal species.
